Project Twelve

Welcome back to Disney Scrapping!
OK so I love challenges because it gets me out of my box and makes me think...love it
So I found a cool challenge on The Cuddlebug Spot. We were to use 2x2 embossing squares.
So I needed to send my Brother-in-Law a birthday card. So I tried to make a "manly" card so hard not to throw some flowers on it! I keep with my whole Disney theme by putting Disney balloons instead of  plain ones. I think it turned out cute.

Recipe
~~~~~~~~~
card size: 8 1/5 x 5 1/2 inches
Blue background piece cut at 8 1/4 x 5 1/4 inches
Cartridge used was plantin schoolbook
Squares cute at:
Pattern Square 2 1/2 inches
Brown Square 2 1/4 inches
Blue paper 2 inches
Paper is Brazzil and pattern pieces are DCWV
I took the blue squares and embossed them using the cuddlebug Birthday folder.
    but first I applied Stampin Up Craft Ink to the folder before running it thru
Had to have Mickey somewhere RIGHT....
So I created the balloons using circle that I played with in DS
I stamped the saying using stamps set from My Paper Studio and Black Stampin Up ink
I used basic gel pens for the accents and brown ribbon
Thanks
Beckie
  3. Terrific birthday card! It's so cute but yet manly. I know what you mean about making everything girlie. I always want to use pink and flowers on things I make, but sometimes the cards are for the guys. I actually had a tough time making father's day cards. LOL! But thanks for sharing this great mickey birthday card. Love it!
