Project Thirty-seven

Good Morning Everyone!
Happy Friday to all!

So I planned this project at the beginning of the week because I picked up the girls Thursday ....
and they are here till Sunday afternoon. We are hoping to have full custody at the end of this month.

OK so this is a really cute card I made using my Gypsy. You could use Design Studio also!!
This is for one of our adopted "nieces". We have been friends with their parents for many years, so we got the honorary titles of Aunt and Uncle. She is having her 12th Birthday next week.

The recipe is below the pictures. But I want to explain I used Cri-Kits for the sentiment on the inside of the card. I took pictures of the Cri-Kits so everyone can see what they are and how they work.
I will add the link to where you buy your own Cri-Kits they are so much fun!!

This is the card

This is the inside of the card........This is Gypsy Font using my Cri-Kits and Gypsy
This is the Cri-Kits The purple metal part is the actual part that goes in the Cricut.

A close up of the pen in the holder.

This is what it looks like in the Cricut

Recipe

Cartridge: Disney Happily Ever After and the font I used was Gypsy Wondering
The dress is actually two icons welded together. to for the base of the card
page 44
1. the shadow base/icon with the shift key
    at 4 inches
2. copy that image, mirror it, then flip it then move the image so the edges of the top of the dress are touching. Weld the two pieces together.

OK so I opened another page in my Gypsy with layer 1 being able to been seen so  then used Gypsy Font to write Happy Birthday Cari , I was able to see the outline of the dress so I knew where to put the words.

OK so the dress part of the front of the card is Page  44
The base of the dress is the Icon key cut at 4 inches
the paper is from DCWV 8x8 Sweet Stack

The top of the dress is the Icon with the Shift key
the paper is Stampin Up Regal Rose
I then glittered the top
then put Glossy on top using two coats.

I cut the images on layer 1 Then I did not unload the mat
I went to layer two on my Gypsy. Then I took out my blade housing and put in the Cri-kit And "cut" the second layer. The second layer never really cut on the dress I used the pen to write.

If you have any questions please feel free to ask ... oh yeah here is the link to Cri-Kits

Thanks for looking everyone!

Project Thirty-five

I hope you all had a wonderful and crafty Christmas!
Hubby and I decided that we would order our own gifts this year. This year was our first year as playing "Santa" and having to get parent gifts. We had a great time!

OK so most of you know my hubby and I are adopting two beautiful girls age 7 and 9. Well this is the first time they have had their own separate bedrooms, which they are very happy about. So I made signs for each girls door. One room was themed around Tinkerbell and the other room is Disney Princess.
This is the sign I made for my oldest daughter's room.

Merry Cristmas and Happy Holidays!

I want to thank you all for visiting my blog this year. I wish everyone a Happy Holidays for those who do not celebrate Christmas .... and a Merry Christmas to all who do. The blog is taking off really well. I am on a LONG list to have VK Designs do the graphics so the blog had a more organized feel to it.

OK so we are one 91 followers .. If we make it to 100 you know I have to do a give away. I have changed how I am doing those. I have had so many issues with the mail here I have been doing gift certificates from online shops. The last one we did was from Custom Crops. Maybe will pick a different store next time.

Have a Great Holiday..

Look for a new project Sunday ....

Happy Sunday

I hope everyone is having a great Sunday. We picked up the girls this morning and have them till Wednesday. We are going to celebrate Christmas together on Monday since we will not be together on Christmas. We are going to have some fun together. We have craft time planned for Tuesday, so I am hoping we can do something for the blog. But I also have some really cute door signs I made for each girls room. They wanted them to say "STAY OUT" but I kept that off to keep them simple. I wish you all a great Sunday!

Project Thirty - four

OK so I love Robyn over at My Pink Stamper and she is doing a 12 days tills Christmas event on her blog. Well a few days ago she was doing a color challenge. The challenge was to use 2 shades of pink, 2 shades of blue and black. I think the prize is one of her awesome stamp sets. Which I am hoping my hubby has taken the written hint that I have left him for my Christmas presents LOL

OK so for the challenge I made a tag to attach to a batch of cookies I am giving as a gift to my hubby's co-workers. Each one get a tin of cookies so I thought since I hadn't made the tags yet I might as well make one to go with the challenge. I turned out so cute....I making them all look like this. Project Thirty-Three

OK so I am sorry I meant to post this a few days ago. I am so trying to get used to work, hubby and 2 beautiful girls. Plus finding time to craft. I am so lucky that this past weekend was the girls first over night visit. Well to my happiness the girls wanted to craft!! We made cards for their foster mom. They got to pick out the image and colors for their cards. Then they decorated them and write nice things to her. I couldn't have been prouder! We used Create a Critter with them, because the cuts are so easy for little ones.

OK so on to today's project. The last project I showed was for my oldest child's life book. And the pictures I used were the first photo hubby and I were given ans the second picture on the page was from the day we first meet. So I keep the same style for my little ones. My older daughter's room is all Tinkerbell while my little one is all Disney Princess.

So I made a 12x12 Layout for her two photos using Disney Happily Ever After Cartridge. So here are the pictures with recipe below! I made these using my Gypsy. Man I am so in love with that little machine!!

This is the main page

Project Thirty-Two

So I have got my mojo back and I thinks it's running away with me!

OK so for today's project, I have made a layout.
Many of you know my husband and I are adopting two beautiful girls. So I am starting their life books.
I have chosen themes for their rooms and have kept the themes for their life books.
One child is Tinkerbell while the other and younger one is Disney Princess.
So the pages I am creating first are the first page in their life books.

I am doing the Tinkerbell page today ... can you guess what my next project will be LOL
OK so I did a Tinkerbell Layout.
I have left room for 2 photos. The first photo is for the photo I got when I first was chosen to be their mom. The second photo is the first family snap shot we took this weekend.

So here is the first page
This is a close up of the tiny mushroom and Tinkerbell

This is a close up of the word Believe!
Which means so so much to us...

OK so here is the recipe

Basics
Background Paper: EK Success Pixie Dust
Picture Frames: Stampin Up So Saffron cut at 4.75 x 4.75 inches
then I added some ribbon I think this is from Target

Tree Info
Cartridge: Tinkerbell and Friends
Page 68
all cut at 8 inches
Shadow in Stampin up Basic Black
Tree is Stampin Up Chocolate Chip
The leaves are Stampin Up Green Galore

Mushroom Info
Cartridge: Tinkerbell and Friends
Page 69
cut at 2.25 inches
Shadow in Black
Main Image in Chocolate Chip
Flesh layer is Stampin Up Crumb Cake
Flesh layer with shift is Stampin Up Real Red
OK so here was my fun part
I tried to cut the tiny flowers to go at the base but at this size it was not working
If anyone knows the proper settings to cut at this tiny size please SHARE THEM!!!
So what I did do was use Aqua Glue and some blue Flocking powder to make little blue flowers
Then I used Stampin up Bright Brads to be the centers

Word Believe
cartridge: Tinkerbell and Friends
page 29
Filigree layer
cut at 2.25
Once cut I placed the image face down
in my 5 inch Xyron Sticker maker
then I sprinkled LaJolle Ice Crystals Glitter all of the top

Tinkerbell
she is from Sandy Lion
a group of stickers I have.
I wanted to use my cricut but sometimes cutting at this tiny size is not easy
with the tiny cuts.
