Project Forty and a Throwback Thursday Challenge

Happy Friday Everyone!!
I am sorry I am running really late with my Friday project...just finished it
So sorry the pictures are not that great! Will work on for next time!

OK so for today's project it is a challenge over at My Creative Time
Emma is great she challenges us to use some of our older cartridges.
So for today's challenge was a viewer's choice. We got to pick our own cartridge, but the entry
had to have a Valentine's theme to it or a heart!

I am hoping my hubby doesn't read this one post because it is going to be my Valentine's card for him.
His favorite Disney Character of all time is Donald Duck. We even dressed up as Donald and Daisey Duck a few Halloween's ago.

So here is my card I made
My Love Card!
A close up of Donald and Daisey. I drew them using the Cri-Kits then colored with copics.

A view of the inside of the card with the sentiment

Recipe

Basics
OK Card paper is all Stampin Up
Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, Very Vanilla and pattern paper is there's also.
A2 card 4.25 x 5.5 in Cherry Cobbler
Very Vanilla is 4.15 x 5.4
Pattern Paper is cut 4.05 x 5.3
Ribbon on corners is Stampin Up Cherry Cobbler.
Now I just brushed the edges of the pattern paper with basic Black Ink to make them stand out against the very vanilla base.

Heart
cartridge: Martha Stewart All Occasion Cakes
cut at 4.06
The heart has little circle around the edge, I hide them for this project in my Gypsy
I then used LaJolle Glue and Basic Black Glitter around the edges of the heart
Paper is from  Stampin Up

The Ducks
Cartridge: Mickey and Friends
cut at 3.03 inches
I used my Gypsy you can use Design Studio also.
On one layer I used the Cri-Kits to "draw" the image
With the eye open on layer 1 I opened another layer
used the blackout feature and lines the black out perfectly with the image on layer one.

So I loaded my mat with the Cri-Kit pen in placed. Cut the first layer which is really drawing the image with details. Then DO NOT REMOVE MAT go back to design. I took out the the pen holder and replaced the blade housing. Then I hit cut. This is the black out which will cut around the edge of your image.

I then just colored the image with copics, added a shadow. Then used pop dots, to add dimensions.

Thanks for looking!
