Project Sixty

Hello everyone!
So I have been crafting today. My goal will be to create a few projects on Sunday so I can post during the week when I am teaching my girls.
Most of you know I home school my little angels. So as the school year is starting it is a tad crazy here.

Did I mention we also moved so we are about 45 minutes to the Magic Kingdom now!!
Also I found a wonderful homeschooling coop that does all of it learning through DISNEY!!
How awesome is that. So our first meeting is coming up on the 10th, I can't wait to tell you all about it.

Project Fifty-eight and Ink it Pink Challenge 6

Hello and thanks for stopping in. The whole family had the flu last week. Which is why I was missing in action. Thanks to rest and God we are all feeling better.

So I missed a few challenges these past two weeks, which drives me nuts because I have so much fun doing them. For me, a major Disney lover, I love getting Disney into other people's challenges. Plus it challenges me so much.

OK so here is some personal stuff .... if you want to skip to the card scroll down.
OK so my family has been planning to move to the Orlando area of Florida. We were planning this when we lived in North Carolina. Some other family scares and issues we had to make a very fast move to Fort Lauderdale Florida this past February. Well our dream is finally coming into the light. We are going up next weekend to look for a place to live. YES that is right I am going to be living 30 minutes or so from WALT DISNEY WORLD!!! I am so happy. The rest of my family is even more happy. It seems I take all my vacations to Disney. With Disney so close I might go a on a real vacation and visit some of my family. The funny thing my husband and I both made the comment when someone mentioned a "real" vacation, we thought ohhh Disneyland or plan for Disneyland Paris. Can you tell we love DISNEY!

Project Fifty-two and a challenge!

Welcome Back!
This is a Father's Day card from our cute little puppy!
We have had our fur baby for almost 12 years.
So for many years we only got cards from the fur babies.
This is my husband's 2nd Father's Day from our girls.

OK so I created the card then realized it fit into
My Creative Time new Throwback Thursday challenge.
We had to use an older cartridge but
the challenge was a color challenge.
We had to use a pale blue, green and brown.
So I was so excited when I realized this cute card hit the color combo.

There is still time for you to participate also, so pop over to Emma site for all the rules!

The card is a 4.25 x 5.5 inches
The base is Chocolate Chip from Stampin Up
The background image is DCWV paper stack of little bones
hand cut at 4 x 5.25 inches
The blue background is cut from mini-monograms
at REAL SIZE 3.75 x 5 inches

The puppy is from the Paper Pups Cartridge
papers are Stampin Up's Whisper White and Crumb Cake
the puppy was cut at 1.25 inches height and 3.5 inches wide

The Dad sign
The Scalloped Square is from Mini-monograms
cut at 2.5 inches both ways
cut two of the squares
all I did was with my Gypsy fuse the letters Dad
from Mickey Font to one of the squares.
I inked the edges with Stamin Up's Chocolate Chip ink

The twine is Stampin Up's hemp twine.

I thought it was just a cute little Father's Day card from our puppy!

Thanks for looking!

My Mouse Dreams Update is DONE!

So I hope you all like the new name of the blog My Mouse Dreams!
My husband came up with the name and I love it.

So we also now have a new look ..... and yes I am so excited and love the way it came out!
I so want to thank Veronica at VK Design Company.
She did such a great job!

Project Fifty-one Peachy Keen Challenge

Hello and Welcome Back to
MY MOUSE DREAMS!!

Can you tell how excited I am about the blog.

OK so on to today's project.
So everyone knows who Peachy Keen Stamps right?
Well do you know they have a weekly challenge?
Well they do and you can find it here on the Peachy Keen Blog

So I want to share something with you and no they don't pay me to say these things.
My birthday was last Thursday. My husband God Bless this man, decided to let me just order some
craft supplies I had been hinting at big time.
So he gave me a budget and away I went with the credit card in hand.

I have been wanting the Peachy Keen Critter faces. So I ordered the medium set on
June 7th at 10:30 A.M. I just got my order this afternoon.
What great service! Thank you for great products and a short span for
me to wait for my goodies!

OK so on to the project.
We were challenged to make a frame or alter a frame.

So I made a frame and titled it A Day at the Beach.
I am waiting for the pictures to come back of my two beautiful
girls on their first day at the ocean. They had never seen an Ocean before and had a blast!

So lets start with the frame.
The paper is DCWV Summer Stack, I think I bought it last year.

So Plantin Schoolbook Rectangle
back piece 6 inches x 8 inches
front piece started with the same size rectangle
then I used my Gypsy and fused a scalloped rectangle from Gypsy Wanderings
the scalloped rectangle was 4 x 6

Then I used my favorite Cri-kit pens to write A Day at the Beach on the top of the frame.

OK so then in Disney Style the Oyster, Starfish and seaweed are all from ...
Princess Dreams Come True

Oyster
cut at 2 inches
I used my cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder
Then I used my new Peachy Keen Critter faces
then I colored the cheeks with pink chalk

Starfish
I cut at 2.5 inches
Used cuttlebug bubbles folder
then used my new critter face with glasses

I used the seaweed at 2 inches also.
I added a little bling to the edges and that's it.

Thanks for looking

Project 50 Pink by Design Challenge 1

Welcome Back to Project 50!
SO like I said I found my crafting Mojo!!
So I love challenges, it is fun for me to try to get my vision of Disney
into everyone elses world.

OK so if you didn't know Pink by Design has started doing a Wednesday Challenge.
for the month of June you are allowed to use other companies stamps. This way everyone has some time to either win some stamps or to purchase some stamps.

The funny thing is I just purchased the animated greetings 2nd Set the day before
she announced a sale. That is just my luck. Sarah has 3 different Animated series sentiments, and they are a must have for all of us Disney lover's. They are just to cute for words.

OK so on to the project.

For challenge one we were to use or sentiment or word stamps as a background!

So I started with a 4.25 x 5.5 card from Stampin Up Crumb Cake

The I used my Twinkle Toes cartridges to make the next two layers.
The paper is from DCWV Linen Closet Collection
The cuts are the stage fright background
the sizes are
5.25 x 3.75 and 4.75 x 3.25

I have the set of general words (not the greatest quality)
So I took the words hugs and kisses and made a background using Stampin Up
Basic Black Ink.

The Piglet is from Pooh Font page 65 cut at 3.5 inches
all the papers were scraps I had running around
the shadow is from the same DCWV collection.

I then just added some Stampin Up Subtle Pink Brads

Thanks for visiting!
Pop over and join in

Project Forty-nine Frame

Hi and Welcome back to my second challenge for this week.
This is for one of my favorite challenges.
Emma at My Creative Time has a weekly challenge called Throwback Thursday.

This week we had to use an older cartridge and alter an item.
I choose a basic wood frame I bought.

OK If you only are here for the project do to below the pictures.

Personal info: So my husband is just as much a Disney fan as I am.
Our 17th wedding anniversary is this Sunday so I made this frame as part of his gift from
me.

This is how the frame started

This is how it ended!!

Project details
Basic frame from some hobby store ... I think A.C. Moore
I painted it red and black using Folk Arts Acrylic paints.

Images
are from Mickey and Friends.
All paper was basic scraps I had in my box
the hand and pants are cut at 2 inches
The mouse head is at 2.5 inches
the shoe is at 1.75 inches.

OK SO I used my Cri-Kit to write the words on the mouse head.
I tried to take a few pictures to try to explain.
I used my Gypsy
On layer 1- I placed a;l the images I wanted cut
On layer 2 - I first kept layer one visible
then I lined up the words with the mickey head they were
going to be printed on

I hope this image help.

OK now you cut layer one
but when asked do you want to unload the mat or return to design

Sorry fuzzy screen LOL

RETURN TO DESIGN
then cut layer 2

If you unload the words will not line up.

Hope you all enjoyed

See Ya real soon!

Project Forty-eight Peachy Keen Challenge

Welcome to my project for today.
I haven't done a challenge in awhile and here your going to see two challenges back to back.
So for my first challenge is a Peachy Keen Challenge . I just love their stamps.
I only have their Everyday Character Face Assortment. I am so excited that I ordering their critter faces this week. So looking forward.
them.
OK so the details for the project are under the picture. Personal stuff before the picture!

SO the card I made today is my daughter's older sisters 13th birthday.
Most of you know we adopted two beautiful little girls. They have an older sister who is not able to live with them. We do keep in contact as much as possible. SO their sister is turning 13 and everyone made a birthday card to send to her.

OK so the paper is
Bashful blue, Pink Pirouette and Vanilla Cream
The pattern papers are Stampin Up from last year.
The blue is DCWV

The ribbon is Stampin Up white satin ribbon

Doll
EDPD cut at 22.5
The face is peachy keen's face assortment the second to smallest size.
I used Stampin Up Chocolate Chip for the face.
I colored the eyes with a Uniball White Pen and some pink cheek chalk.

Cake
EDPD cut at 2.5
I cut the cake with the Pink Pirouette then colored the icing and plate with Copics Sketch V04
then I took Ice Stickles Grape Ice and went over the icing to give it that bling.

The Sign
The rectangle is Plantin Schoolbook and the sentiment is Mickey Font
I used my Gypsy for this trick.
on layer 1
I place the rectangle at the size I want
I then got to layer two (with layer one still visible)
I then add my sentiment where I want it on the rectangle

OK so I cut layer 1
when the gypsy asks to unload the mat or return to the design
CLICK ON RETURN TO THE DESIGN
**This will not work if you unload the mat
I then unscrew the cutting blade and place the pen cartridge of my cri-kits gel pens
Once the pen holder is in place I CUT layer 2
Make writing my own sentiments so easy!!

I just saw the Cricut is coming out with their own gel pen system. If you haven't seen Cri-Kits or Cricuts gel pens look into them they are great little tool.

Cri-Kits
Cricut Gel Pens

SO that is my project Thank you for stopping bye

Blog Update

I am so excited. I am finally getting the blog re-designed. Yes, by a professional, the site so needs it. Also after some long talks in my family, we are renaming the BLOG!!! When I created the blog it was because I wanted to share my crafting and my huge love of Disney. SO I named the blog Disney Scrapping, not thinking hello TRADE INFRINGEMENT! So we have decided to re name the blog. The new name will be revealed when the new design is uploaded. I think it is going to be awesome.

Also I am going to be starting next Wednesday a weekly themed project .... Bind it Wednesday. I love my Bind it all so I want to start a weekly fun thing with the bind it all.

I am also hoping to start in June with a guest designer coming in for a visit.
So if you want to be a guest designer please just say email me or leave a comment.

I am so looking forward to getting back into the world that I love ..... crafting!!

Project Forty-seven Pooh Bear

Hello!! I am getting back into the groove. So If you are only here for the project jump to just under the picture.

So here is what has been going on. CRAZINESS!! OK sorry had to say it. I have been getting back into crafting tiny steps at a time, but nothing to do with Disney. Hard to believe I do craft other things besides Disney. We are settled for the most part. My poor babies of course move right before there birthdays, so we had simple parties with just family. Mackenzie had her sister, cousin and herself for a Build A Bear party. Mary had a simple dinner to Cheesecake factory and a Mani and pedi day with her sister and her mom. Loved that gift myself! I am trying to find time for crafting after all the kids are asleep. I am still looking for a scrapbook store here is South Florida. If anyone knows of any please say, missing spending hours scanning through paper.

OK on to today's project. My family is catholic, and both my children are making their First Reconciliation and First Communion this year. My daughters made First Reconciliation this past Saturday. The church had the parents make a "love box" for each child. It is just a simple box filled with letters from family and friends. Once the kids were finished with Father and said penance, they were able to open the box and read the letters. My dear friend who is older than me still has her box and letters. So I hope my children will value theirs too.

So this is Mackenzie's love box

All I did was cover a child's shoe box with paper and craft away.
Box
The actual box is covered in
Chocolate Chip paper from Stampin Up
The Sunflower paper is Spring Yellow from Magenta- a find at my then local scrapbook store
The flowers
are all from Prima flowers that I just layered together.
The brad in the middle of the flowers are from Stampin Up
The middle part
The tag is the same tag from
Tags Bags Boxes and More
the first one
page 40
Blackout
largest 2.5 inches is chocolate chip from stampin up
middle 2 inches is so saffron stampin up
top 1.5 inches is basic white stampin up
Sentiment is from EK Success

Pooh Bear
is from Pooh and Friends
cut at 3.75 inches

Project Forty-six Mickey and Minnie in Love

This was a cute little card I made for my hubby for this past Valentine's day. He just loved it. I have to admit this was the second year I made his Valentine's Day card. I just noticed he kept last years card so cute.

OK so here is some personal news .... if you want to skip the personal stuff the instructions for the card are under the photo.
OK so our ADOPTION WAS FINALIZED!!! Yes we are officially the proud parents of two little girls 8 and 10. Mary Rose and Mackenzie Ann. We got the official news on February 8th, what a great Valentine's day present that was. Well then if that is not enough craziness, my family moved back to South Florida. My dad lives here alone, and things were not going good with him. So we are here for a few months before our big move to Orlando. We are hoping to be in the Orlando area some time late summer this year!!! YEAH!!! Can't wait to be down the street from Mickey!!

OK now on to the project!!

the card is a standard A4 size
The paper was real red from Stampin Up
the yellow strip was a scrap from something.
All white is Stampin Up
I first stamped the red background with hearts from Stampin Up's I (heart) Hearts set
with Stampin Up white craft ink. I let completely dry.

Then I took a 3.5 inch square and stamped the Mickey and Minnie Image with All Night Media's stamp. I then colored in the image using basic Copic colors. My coloring skills are still in the newbie stage. Then I took Stampin Ups real red stamp ink and a sponge to lightly color the edges.

I then cut two pieces 2 X 1.5 inches and Stamped the words using some basic word set I have.
I placed a yellow piece about 1.5 inches wide and 5.5 inches long and on top of that put some sparkly black ribbon. All the mickey head crystals were bought at a local craft store.

Ops ... I made a coloring boo-boo on Minnie's bow .... so I just took the stamp and stamped the image on Stampin Up's real red paper and cut it out and placed it on my image.

Hope you like it!

Project Forty-five

Hello and Welcome Back!
For this project I just wanted to show the cute little cards we are making for my youngest Daughter's Valentine's Card! We home school but we attend a weekly Co-op and they attend faith formation. So they will be giving these out there. I love all the cute cuts on the Disney Cartridges, that are not so Disney! That's what makes them great to have,

My youngest is Eight years old, so I only get to make the first card. After that she makes them.

This is the card!

I tried to get a close up of his little face and wings. Yes I glues and glittered 22 pairs of wings LOL

OK So Here is how I made him
Since these are for my Daughter, I don't make full cards. I divide the 8.5 x 11 card stock into fours.
We put the card part on front and she stamps the back and signs her name.

Each card is 4.25 x 5.5
I started with white card stock
I took a piece of red rose Stampin Up 4 x 5.25 and Used the Divine Swirl Cuttlebug folder
Then I took a 3.75 x 5 pattern paper
I hand stitched and lines for the bee and the outer stitching.
The Be Mine was just a stamp I had.

The Bee is from the Pooh and Friends Cricut Cartridge
I cut him at 3 inches.
I then used Glossy Accents on the eye and the top of the antennas.
I then used LaJolle Icy Accents Glitter on the wings.

When I make cards for my daughter I make all the bees and cut all the paper pieces. She now gets to assemble them.

Thanks for Looking!

Project Forty-four Challenge Project

Hello and welcome back! We are working on some cute stuff around here. I am still on a wait list for a "new" look for the blog, but patience is a virtue. So I am trying.

So I was due on Thursday to do this major restock of my craft shelves. Hubby had found a bigger chunk for my shopping budget ...whooo hooo him! So I woke up Thursday so excited. We were driving into town, went to the bank had some breakfast and that's where my day went WRONG!! On the highway to go to Micheal's, my van;s radiator decided to explode. The good thing is hubby listened to me when we bought the van to pay for the extra warranty that covered the engine and such. So it wasn't as bad, we have a deductible but not the whole bill. So there went my "extra" plus a little of my budget. So instead of whinnying, which I did do on the inside. I put my big girl undies on and shopped with what I had. I GOT NEW CRICUT BLADES!! So I am in business around here.

So for today's project it is for a challenge over at My Creative Time. Emma has a Thursday challenge to use some of our older more forgotten cartridges. This was to use any cartridge but it had to have a sport theme to it. So the only person in my life who likes sports is my dad. So I made this card for him to let him know we miss him! So here we go.

So my family are huge University of Michigan fans!! So you know there is a huge Disney Sports store in Downtown Disney. Even Disney it trying to "get" those Sports fans. So I came up with Tigger playing Football for my favorite team.

Recipe

Card Base
is from Paper Dolls for Everyday

Football and the Goal Post
I made the football at 23 inches with out the real size button
I then copied the football, dragged it above my first football flipped it and then welded it together to be the base of the card.
The goal post was actually cut at 4 inches
I cut the image twice. Once in silver then in Gold. I then just used the bottom part of the Gold for the goal post.

Tigger
was cut at 4.5 inches
using my Gypsy I made a Football jersey from the same EDPD cartridge at 4.03 inches.
I made 2 jersey one I made blue and the other I fused a M into it to get the layered look.

The words and the M on the shirt are all from the cartridge Cutting Up cut at 1 inch.

I had to soooo stop myself from making this card PRETTY! I was going to glitter the words, hubby stopped me. He kept reminding me it was for my DAD.

Have a great day and thanks for looking!
