Project One Hundred Thirteen

Hello!

So today I am showing you a piece I did for a design team try out.
I didn't make it but that's ok. This was one of three pieces I submitted.
The first piece was a project I already posted Project One Hundred Six.

SO here is the layout I made.

The pictures are way over due to be scrapbooked.

All the paper is DCWV.
The stack was the Princess stack.

I hand cut all the frames and strips. The flowers were cut from Cricut Cartridge Flower Shoppe.
I inked the edges with Stampin Up Ink!

Project One Hundred Ten

Welcome Back!!

I always love a challenge to get me out of a crafting funk. So I went to a great site
Bitten by the Bug 2 to check out their latest challenge. They are always fun .... well normally.
This latest challenge is a football challenge. I hate football. My husband hates football. The only one who likes football is my dad, and he doesn't just like it he loves it. So I told him I would have a Super Bowl party for him so he could watch the game on our big screen. So I thought I would get ahead of the game for once and create a little treat box for the kids.

The treat box is from Cricut Cartridge Life's A Party. The pattern paper is DCWV.

The footballs are cut at 1.5 inches and are also from Life's a Party Cartridge.

The tag is from Cricut Cartridge Baby Shower cut at 2 inches. It may be a tag big.
The sentiment is from Cartridge Extreme Fonts. I used my Cri-Kit Silver Metallic pen to write the phrase.

I used Stampin Up for the footballs and the tag

Hope you enjoyed

They have some really great favor ideas and stamps to get creative.
I am working on party favors for my kids to give to their coop friends

I think it is super cute. I loved this one!

Project One Hundred Seven

Welcome Back.
I am having so much fun learning how to use my Copic Markers.
My biggest fear with them is hair and skin. I was really excited
that the blog hop - challenge was an image with both hair and skin.

All Dressed Up Challenge Blog had a blog hop back on October 7th.
Once the hop was over we were given a free image to use to create a project
for the challenge portion. She was a super cute little girl.

Well just my luck. I finished my project last night. I decided not to work on this last night but do it this morning. I went to their page to get the url
for you to see there great pieces and the challenge ended 11 minutes ago. WAAAAA

Well here is my project anyways ...

So I like how I did her skin. I still need a few more markers then I think I would have loved it.
Not sure how I feel about the hair. I used 4 different colors. I think they were not the right colors plus I think I got really heavy handed with the hair. Well it is a work in progress. I need more colors LOL my hubby is going to love to read that.
The papers pattern and solids are all DCWV. The pattern is from The Girl Power Stack.

Thanks for visiting and

Project One Hundred Four

Hello Again!!

So for today's post I am stepping way out of my comfort box.

So here is the background for todays post.
Years ago I started following this crafters blog. Never meet her, but I would make comments on her posts. She was on Peachy Keen's. This wonderful crafter is Vivienne. I would oogle and drool
over her coloring of the different stamps.
Well Years have gone by, and I love making cards and I would use sentiment stamps all the time. I started buying a few stamps here and there but nothing big. In January I started buying actual stamps. This past June by dear sweet husband bought me 21 Copic Markers. Boy did he not know what he was starting. So I have been learning to color. Some days are great other days my markers drip on my image. Well I still visit Viv's blog.
Well two or three weeks ago she had a post about digital stamps. The company was called All Dressed Up Stamps. I have never worked with digital stamps so I am still learning. Well they have a challenge blog. I love a good challenge, but I started looking at the Design Team then I started looking at the ladies entering the challenges. OH MY GOODNESS!! These ladies know how to color. So I looked around and they offered some free stamps, so I thought I would give it a try. So I have been working on this image for awhile. The first time my husband called my and I jerked my hand, the second attempt my yellow Copic dripped big time. This was my third attempt. I like it, but I will see. I am doing this manly to challenge myself, plus I hope to keep learning.

So here it is

I am entering in All Dressed Up Challenge Blog's anything goes challenge.

OK pattern paper is DCWV's.
The image is All Dressed Up's Freebie
I used Stickles on the corners and Glossy Accents
on the eyes.
I used my Copics To color.

Project One Hundred One

Welcome Back.

We all have our favorite products. Today I will play with my all time favorite pattern papers,
DCWV (Die Cuts With a View). They are really my go to pattern paper.
Well the have a monthly sketch challenge on their blog DCVW Blog.
They have a Layout Challenge and a Card Challenge. I usually enter both, or I try.
They choose their top 15 picks from the entries, then from the top 15 of each category
they randomly choose one winner from each. That person wins PAPER! I won one month and
received almost $80.00 in retail product. I was so excited!!

Ok so here is the sketch for this month's layout.

Here is what I did with it.

SO I used of course I used DCWV paper. The stack I used was the Citrus Stack, which by the way was one of the stacks I received for free!! The solid paper background for the photo's is DCWV also, from the colored paper collections. I cut all the papers and photos with my paper cutter except the circles. The circles are cut with my Cricut using Cricut Craft Room Basics. All the sentiments are from the same stack. I did a bit of journaling about the pictures. These were taken back in 2012. This was our girls first visit to an Ocean. We were at Hollywood Beach in Florida. We all had such a great time.

I used Stampin Up ink to ink the edges. I used Marina Mist, Old Olive and Real Red.
You still have a few days to enter, so join in!

Project Ninety-nine

Welcome Back!!

Today's Project I am finishing with just hours to spare on this challenge.
I recently discovered, with in the last two months, Jaded Blossom Stamps. They have the cutest
stamps for candies to make party favors.

For their August Monthly challenge it was crafter's choice,
which in Mouse Land, means HALLOWEEN!!

So I used their Halloween Candies stamps. They are super cute.
Here is what I came up with.

I took a cute little metal pail, dollar section of Target.

Added my favorite kisses and used the Candy Stamps.
I added a ghost with a Trick or Treat bag.

I am thinking of making more of these for our Homeschool Coop Halloween party as center pieces. I love this!!

Project Ninety-eight

Welcome Back!

So I have been having so much fun with my Copic Markers.
I have been just loving them. My poor hubby!

I have been asked what I had to invest to get a base line of colors.
So I went to Dick Blick Art Supplies. If you spend more than $99.00 you get
free shipping. So I bought 21 markers for about 110.00 I made a decision to basically buy
4 markers a month. If I have a Michael's coupon for 40% of 50% off, I will look there first.
If not I order my 4 Markers at Blick's and it cost me around $32.00 with shipping. I really spent time looking around Pintrest and You Tube looking at all the base color suggestions out there. I am
working on skin tones and hair colors now.

OK so on to today's projects. It is for Peachy Keen Stamps Monthly Linky Party.
The rules are to use Stamps from the August release. I loved their release because
it was all about HALLOWEEN!!

So for this I used the following Peachy Keen Stamps
PK-1417 Faceless Zombie Kids 1
     are my Zombie kids
PK-1420 Trio of Girl Ghosts
are my sentiments .... and I love them to pieces
PK-1419 Cranky Franky
     is my boy Zombie's face
PK-1300 Sweet Innocent Face Assortment
     is my Girl Zombie's Face

I think I used almost all my Copic Colors.
You have until the end of August to enter, the more the Merrier!
