I have been collecting many of Kadoodle Bug Designs SVG cuts for awhile ...

Today I am entering my first challenge with them over on their

Kadoodle Bug Designs Facebook page.

 

The challenge was to create something that was NOT a card ...

here is what I came up with

wonderful coops. Well one of our FUN groups is having a Kick Off Party in September

So I thought this would be a cute gift bag ..... now 45 more to make LOL

Project 172, 173 and 174

OK so I love My Favorite Things  and a week ago they

hosted their third week of Summer School.

I joined in on the 2nd week and had a great time.

So for week 3, today, I am showcasing Lessons 13, 14 and 15

Lesson 13 was on soft and hard elements.

So my hard elements are the edges of the paper and the edges of the peek a boo flaps

the soft elements are the buttons, balloons and my yummy cake.

Hello friends .....

 

SO I am going to explain this project ... which might take a while. If you want to skip the back story scroll down to you see the picture ...

 

still here perfect .....

 

So I started my paper crafting life back in 2007 ...

I saw the ads for a machine called a Cricut ....

I had to have one ..... Black Friday 2008 Wal-Mart had them for a great price .... my husband bought me one ...so excited ... took it our of the box followed all the instructions .... and my paper didn't cut and what did cut stuck to the mat so bad it ripped coming off ... well I have no patience ...yes ... I know ... I will work on that (insert eye roll here). Well I told the machine what I thought of it in so many words and that is where I left my Cricut until 2010. I was border at home .... so I googled How to videos for the Cricut .... I found someone who called themselves My Pink Stamper .... I sat there watching her videos for hours .... went to my closest craft store with a huge list of must haves .... came home and looked up this company Stampin Up .... found my closest consultant and the rest was history ..... I found more blogs and started stamping and more things to buy .... them I started Disney Scrapping .... which I eventually changed the name to My Mouse Dreams.

Well Robyn ..... (Yes, in my head I call her Robyn) .... who I have been following ever since that day. Recently started back as a Stampin Up Demonstrator. So she challenged us to make a card using just the Neutrals.

Hi Mouse Friends!!

 

So, I am a proud Cricut Expression owner ... I loved my Expression .... but then I kept

seeing all these really awesome SVG cuts ....

What is an SVG file I found myself researching. Well, I was very sad. I found out the

machine that I loved didn't cut SVG files. SO I started looking into buying a different companies machine so I could cut them. While I was researching a new machine

I found an awesome SVG site.

I started going to their wonderful blog hops and earning and buying their files ... yet I had no machine to cut them with. Well finally, right before I was buying the "other" machine Cricut came out with the EXPLORER!!!

Now, the machine is not perfect ... I would love if it would allow an offset on

its print and cut images ....

but ...

I get to use all these SVG files finally ....

So today's project is for one of my favorite SVG sites
