Watermelon Smile

Today I am sharing a card featuring a SVG file from

SVG Cutting Files

I thought this was such a cute file.

My girls just love watermelon, and I HATE it!

So when I do buy it they love it.

I do tease them because they have to share the watermelon

with the chickens and pigs!!

So I used my Cricut Explorer to cut out my pieces.

I used the papers matching ink to ink the edges. This gives

the image the look of dimension. You don't have to do this,

it took me years, to have the matching 
ink to the papers I use.

Now when I order a new paper color 
I always order the matching ink

pad. The I glues the pieces together using glossy accents!

I did use my Copic markers, E50, E51 to give the skin a bit more depth.

~So I have to tell you, I was not paying attention when I placed the hair

and the head on. I put together the melon and went to glue it in the right place 

and saw my problem. I had put the hair and head on the backside of the base. So I 

took my scissors and cut of the part of the back piece and it work. ~

I love this day!

So here is the funny I am also entering this into

Jaded Blossoms

July Challenge.

The theme was this photo as inspiration

So I went with my favorite treat in all the world!

ICE CREAM!

I went searching for the cutest candy I could find for the challenge.

I made my tag and photographed it and was 

about to start blogging 

when my youngest asked my why I had an ice 

cream tag on cotton candy.

I went WHAT ... sent the picture to hubby and 

he said the same thing is looks 

like cotton candy. My oldest told me it was a snow one. I was like well it is already

done so oh well!!

Today I am sharing a crd for a friend

who LOVES MERMAIDS!

So I found this cute SVG file from

SVG Cutting Files

I wanted to share the cuts before I 

inked the edges, glittered some pieces and 

added details to them.

I used my Cricut Explorer to cut out the files.

Remember when I do SVG's, I do have a tenancy to 

use colors, so don't let the supply list scare you!

This is how it turned out. I added glitter to her tail. Then, I took my Copic Marker

RV11 and added details to the tail and top.

I used a vintage Cream Cardstock,

then took my Copic Markers E50, E51 and E93

to give her some more color, she is out in the sea all day!

So today's card is for the 

Stamp Anniething Stampers Facebook Challenge

the theme is 

STARS!

So speaking of stars I went to start coloring up my

cute image that I ordered for this challenge. 

Well I had a HUGE problem!!

My main skin colors E000 and E00 markers were OUT!

So i was upset thinking I wouldn't be able to participate

until I received my Various refills.

THEN it hit me

WHAM!!

My family was watching Guardians of the Galaxy....

they have pink skin people.......oh yeah, I can do this!!

SO I colored my inter-galatic friend with my Copic markers.

The patten paper is from Doodlebug. 

I cut out my stars using star dies

and Papertrey Ink paper. The sentiment is from Jaded Blossom. This was a larger stamp that I taped off the parts I didn't want to ink the parts I did. I then 

removed the tape and stamped away.

I added a frame with some new Stamp Anniething Dies and some Nuvo drops!

House Mouse and Friends Challenge

Good Morning 

Mouse Friends!

Did you have a crafty weekend!

I DID NOT!

OK, so my local Scrapbook Expo was this weekend.

I had classes and make and take tickets!

I had been planning this weekend for 6 months plus!

Monday my underarm of my right arm was bugging me.

Tuesday it plan out hurt, by that evening I looked

and the area was red lobster red and a huge lump under my

arm had formed! Went to the Doctor on Wednesday.

I had a abscess that was highly infected.I could not drive

heck for three days I was running a temp of 102 plus!

So I didn't color or craft and could not go to my expo.

I have to say I got almost all my money back!!

OK so I had finished this crd last week and meant to blog

it on Friday. That didn't happen.

It was for the

the last challenge was any card with a matching envelope.

So this morning I week on the blog to 

see what this challenge

Today is my favorite series

Thursday Treats

I am showcasing some very yummy cherry gummies

and I found the cutest SVG file from SVG Cutting Files!

I cut out the SVG file on my Cricut Explorer

Then I used the matching inks to ink 

the edges of the pieces.

Now the cherries are available to purchase on their own, but for a few more dollars

I bought the whole Kawaii Fruit Set!

The sentiment was stamped on using Papertrey Ink's True Black Hybrid ink.
